Do you know the citizen science activities implemented from the LIFE-IP NAdapta-CC project?
From the integrated European project LIFE-IP NAdapta-CC, some activities or small citizen science "projects" have been promoted within the framework of several technical actions. Each of them is explained below.
The activities
Agriculture
Seed collection of species and local varieties of Navarra at special risk of extinction.
Health
Surveillance and monitoring of the tiger mosquito (Aedes albopictus) in Navarre through educational centers
Citizen participation
What can I participate in LIFE-IP NAdapta-CC?
The LIFE-IP NAdapta-CC project is developing some actions in which any citizen can participate and make contributions.
Undoubtedly, the Sustainable Energy and Climate Action Plans (SECAPs) are the best reference for citizen participation implemented in this integrated European project for adaptation to climate change. For more information, please visit the following section: Action C1.2 Local Environment
It is also worth mentioning the citizen participation in the preparation of the Municipal Emergency Plans for Flood Risk (PEMRI), information on which can be found in the following section: Action C2.5 Water. These local self-protection plans and early warning systems for floods can be consulted in the results section.
Finally, there are the LIFE-IP NAdapta-CC Crosscutting Technical Working Groups (CTW), governance bodies aimed at addressing specific thematic areas in an integrated manner which, due to the complex and multidimensional nature of the issues involved, cannot be effectively tackled from a single sectoral perspective.

Citizen Climate Assembly of Navarre (ACNCC)
Do you know the Navarrese Citizen Climate Assembly?
The Citizen Climate Assembly of Navarre (ACNCC) is a citizen participation forum in the Chartered Community of Navarre aimed at fostering reflection and collective knowledge, allowing citizens to be informed, deliberate, and reach consensus on solutions to make Navarre more resilient to the impacts of climate change in a fair and supportive way.
It is composed of thirty people representing the diversity of Navarre’s society, and its role is to address and debate the question: "What should we do in Navarre to respond to climate change effectively and socially fairly?".

Social Council on Climate Change Policy and Energy Transition (CS-CCyTE)
Do you know the Social Council?
The Social Council on Climate Change Policy and Energy Transition (CS-CCyTE) is the social participation body in matters of climate change and energy transition, as provided by the Navarrese Law on Climate Change and Energy Transition.
The CS-CCyTE constitutes the multi-stakeholder platform foreseen in the governance system of the Climate Change Roadmap for Navarre (CCRN-KLINa). It is attached to the department responsible for environmental competencies (currently the Department of Rural Development and Environment of the Government of Navarre), which provides the necessary material and human resources for its proper functioning. In addition, it acts as the Climate Change Advisory Commission for the purposes set out in Foral Law 9/2023 of March 22 of the Navarrese Environmental Council.

AGORA KLINa. Foro de participación
¿Qué es AGORA KLINa?
AGORA KLINa fue un foro de participación formado por todas aquellas entidades y personas de Navarra que tuvieron interés en estar informados sobre la actualidad del cambio climático en Navarra, estar al tanto de sus efectos y participar en la puesta en marcha de iniciativas frente al cambio climático. También formaron parte de la plataforma personas expertas invitadas por su conocimiento en temas relacionados con el cambio climático.
